We
provide competent and professional analyses and reports by
Robert W. Thatcher, Ph.D. for qEEG assessment and EEG biofeedback
protocol generation. Dr. Thatcher has evaluated over 20,000
EEG recordings in the last 30 years and he is considered one of the
"Fathers" of qEEG along with Dr. E. Roy John in the 1970s (John and
Thatcher, 1977). He was on the Board of the American
Board of Electroencephalography and Clinical Neurophysiology (ABEN) and
helped write the examination for both conventional and QEEG
certification by the EEG and Clinical Neuroscience Society (ECNS). Dr. Thatcher is Board Qualified in both Conventional and QEEG (ECNS/ABEN),
he is a Diplomat in the American Board of QEEG, he
is
a
Certified
Neurotherapist, Academy of Certified Neurotherapists and he passed the
BCIA certification exam in 1999. He is the author of over 200 total scientific publications including
seven books the latest being the: "Handbook of QEEG and EEG
Biofeedback". In 2002 to the present, Dr. Thatcher designed NeurGuide as a suite of tools to evaluate the electroencephalogram
including 3-dimensional imaging of the EEG sources. An
Expert Clinical Neurophysiologist including
evaluation of conventional EEG tracings as well as quantitative (QEEG)
including discriminant analyses, Neurotherapy Strategies
and/or LORETA
for patients with suspected focal abnormalities. Functional
network analyses based on comparisons to a reference normal database is
used to make scientifically likely relationships between location and
function in different brain networks. We provide an
analysis of a QEEG test only and no diagnoses. Diagnoses are
to be made by a competent clinical professional based on a clinical
history, symptoms/complaints and tests and assessments. The
QEEG analysis is just one test and by itself is not sufficient to make a
diagnosis.
